British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) has announced an agreement with gaming products and services provider Light & Wonder, which exclusively licenses BCLC's intellectual property in its commission-free Ruyi Baccarat game so that it can be played in casinos throughout North America. 

“Ruyi Baccarat combines time-honored cultural traditions from the origins of baccarat with a more traditional non-commission gameplay approach to deliver a truly elevated player experience,” said Mike McKiski, Senior Vice President of Global Table Gaming, Light & Wonder.

“Partnering with BCLC and being named the exclusive licensee of Ruyi Baccarat reinforces our commitment to ensuring our customers have access to the best games available for their casino floors.”

BCLC first launched Ruyi Baccarat at B.C. casinos in early 2020, and today it continues to grow in popularity among players, available on both tables and electronic gaming devices, notes the corporation.

Ruyi Baccarat is available in 14 B.C. casinos, with plans to bring the game to BCLC's PlayNow.com in the future. Ruyi Baccarat will be available to Light & Wonder's players beginning September 9th, pending regulatory approvals.

BCLC offers lottery, casinos, sports betting, and online gambling. As per the corporation, since 1985, over CAD 28 billion ($20.6 billion) in net income has been delivered to the province to support B.C. communities, provincial programs, and services.
